An old 10/100 Ethernet card

connected directly to a new RoHS

compliant card will not establish a

link if both cards are configured

full duplex.

Set the new RoHS

compliant card to

auto-negotation for

this configuration.

Using UCM:

1. Click the circuit on

the NetMap display.

2. Click the

PPCNode Tab.

3. Click the Ethernet

tab.

4. Look for the

Duplex: field, and

change the selection

from Full to Auto.

If the link will still

not establish reliably,

insert an Ethernet

switch or router set

for auto-negotiation

between the cards.
